New group article in Physical Review Research!

Our group demonstrates that spin-triplet generation can occur not only in superconductor/ferromagnet thin film heterostructures, but also across a van der Waals interface formed between a superconducting and a helimagnetic flake.

Performing low-temperature magnetotransport measurements on van der Waals devices consisting of a superconducting flake of NbS2 coupled to a helimagnetic flake of Cr1/3NbS2, we find an unusual depedence of their superconducting critical temperature on the  magnetic field, which is applied to modulate the magnetic spin texture of Cr1/3NbS2. Supported by a theoretical model, we show that our results are consistent with the generation of long-ranged spin triplets at the Cr1/3NbS2/NbS2 interface.
